20 years La Scintilla - Celebration

Banquets and opulent tables were important moments in the courtly life of the Baroque. These social rituals combined the performance of music by contemporary composers with the presentation of culinary delicacies, refined with oriental spices and conversations about art, politics and everyday gossip.

The Orchestra La Scintilla would like to celebrate its 20th anniversary with you on 29 October 2018 in the Kulturhaus Helferei in a corresponding atmosphere characterised by spicy scents and baroque sounds! The price of CHF 250 includes food and drink. All proceeds go to the association La Scintilla.

For this special evening, the Baroque historian and researcher, painter, lute maker and star chef Emiliano Marinucci will conjure up a very special menu from the Roman Baroque period: from truffle salami, sheep's cheese fermented in wine and spiced wine to picturesque dishes reminiscent of still lifes of Arcimboldo and Caravaggio. In the same time spirit, music by Vivaldi, Corelli and Stradella, played by the Orchestra La Scintilla under the direction of Maestro Riccardo Minasi, is played between the different courses.
